"We are pleased to present our 2007 Sky Zinfandel. The 2007 is a
more forward and juicy wine than our past releases. This is due to
the fact that our young vines, that were planted in 2000, are
finally making up most of the blend. The wine still showcases the
Sky spiciness and flavor profile, just in a more forward style.
There are still some of the old vines and they provide the
structure and backbone that will make this wine a good one for
aging.
Harvest in 2007 was later than usual. We picked in late September,
through October, and even into November. We made multiple passes
through the vineyard and picked when the grapes were at the ideal
ripeness.
With the ripe fruit, the 2007 is great to drink now. As with all of
our Zinfandel, it will also age well. 750 cases produced."
