Toffee, rose
petals, blackberry, toast, and spices are just some of the aromas
that pleasantly greet the nose when you swirl & sniff this
extremely limited production wine. The initial fruit on the tongue
is mild, mixed with lavender notes and fresh figs, the mid-palate
rises gracefully with smooth, smoky layers of tobacco and dark
chocolate, while the finish brings hints of mint and burnt sugar.
Barrel aging for 24 months in 25% new Hungarian oak adds light
spice and complexity to the wine, while 50% neutral French oak
enhances the cocoa and smoke flavors, 25% neutral Hungarian oak
rounds out the blend. We’re sure you’ll enjoy this little miracle
as much now as when you open your cellared bottle in a few years.
Pair with grilled rosemary lamb chops smothered in olive-mint
salsa.
